wade and me

Tis the Season

So...my break was...somewhere between eventful and uneventful.  It went better than I expected, which is always a good thing.  I am annoyed at some family members and delightfully surprised at others.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom's on Monday night since Robert had to work on Thanksgiving and Melissa was flying out to Texas on Wednesday.  It was delicious, as always.  Tuesday was my lazy, 'I am going to enjoy my vacation day' and got some really fun stuff worked out.  Wednesday, I took Wade shopping and we stalked his friend Brian through Bass Pro Shop (or at least tried to.  Stupid idiot working security...) whilst ogling the merchandise.  We then went to his parents house and hung out for a bit.  Thursday was Thanksgiving at Wade's parents.  Again, delicious food.
Friday, Wade went to his cousin's to take her engagement photos and I spent the morning helping my mom get down Christmas decorations.  Then Mom, Dad, Robert and I went to Quantum of Solace.  I enjoyed it.  We had Hooters after and apparently Clayton (Wade's little brother) saw me there.  He was confused because he's never met my parents.
Saturday...was HELL.  Dinner at Wade's Grandparents at Noon, then at his Uncle David's at 6ish.  I am now sick of turkey.  We tried to get back to Glenwood because we had planned on going to church in the morning...CRAP!  We forgot dress clothes at my parents house, I just realized.  Oh well.  We could get home because there were TWO rigs blocking the intersection of I-80 West and I-29 South.  So we finally managed to get back to Wade's parents, then drove to my parents in the early afternoon, got our stuff and started the drive back to Ames.  It took us over four hours with a 30 min stop.  Bad roads and bad driving.
Also, I took all my dirty laundry home to get washed...only got a couple loads of it back because my big blue laundry basket was sitting on the basement floor with all my clean clothes in it when the sewer line backed up.  Lovely.  And they couldn't get it fixed yet so I have to wait to get the rest of my laundry.  Huzzah.  Also, I have the death plauge cough and have had it all week.  It seems to be better today.  I think the key is hydration.
Other than that, its been a good week.  Only a couple weeks left of the semester and I will be free for the break.  Hopefully I will be able to go to Midwinter.  I know I won't be able to be back for the New Year's Party.  Blame my brother.

Wasta and I have had that.. I'm better, but Wasta's still got it just awful. I'll try and force liquids down him later.

I am totally taking coffee to work tonight, i won't be able to function and it is so damn cold out!

Glad your break went well, you should come by sometime and get your dishes I borrowed, they're clean and next to the fridge.
